Quirky's Head is Full of Brainz!

Quirky over at Musings of a Quirkyloon challenged us to spend the weekend thinking up zombie poems in her honor. After intense thought and concentration, I came up with my contribution to the cause...

Quirky's head is full of brainz,
Full of brainz,
Full of brainz.
Quirky's head is full of brainz,
Quirkster Zombie.

Now the
really cool thing about this poem is that it's not just a poem, it's a song!
(You may have noticed it can be sung to the tune of London Bridge.)

But wait... there's more!

It's also a
game!

Here's how it goes...

Quirky gets all of her bestest bloggy friends together to drink mass quantities of alcohol and/or Dr. Pepper.

Then everyone proceeds to stagger around in a circle while the Quirkster and I hold our arms up to make a bridge for all the bloggy friends to walk under.
(I volunteered because I'm always looking for ways to pay it forward) Are you following me so far?

While everyone's stumbling about, we sing the Quirky Zombie song together in one part harmony. When we get to the end of the song Quirky and I throw our arms around whoever is currently under the bridge and...

Quirky eatz their brainz!

Sound like fun? I thought you'd like it.

Of course, if you don't like that game, you can always go play Quirky's favorite...

So anyway, that's what I came up with for Quirky's Zombie Poem Contest. Yeah, it kinda sucks, but what do you expect? It's not like she gave us a whole week or anything to come up with an idea! Geesh!

P.S. I also made up a separate poem to include Quirky's Zomblets (Quirky Sons #1 & #2) so they won't feel left out and neglected:

There once was a Zombie named Quirky
Who subsisted on strips of loon jerky
She ate bloggers' brainz
Diet Pepper and cranes
So her Zomblets turned out awfully perky.

I like the way it sounds, the way it rolls of the tongue.

"Hey! Not fair! Two entries and damn good ones, too - where's the Quirkster - isn't this against the rules? I'm gonna call my lawyer," said the Old Silly as he fell down with the London Bridge.

This is very creepy indeed all on its own. But even more so given that there is an intrepretation that London Bridge is Falling Down may refer to burying children alive in the foundation of the bridge. Imagine how brain hungry those haunted Zombie souls would be.....oh, it's so very cold in here, so cold.

Oh, double oh, my captcha word was unted, which sounds eerily like undead....the temp just dropped again....

OK, I actually LOVED your song/poem. Also? I'm glad you told us it was to the tune of London Bridges, because I was singing it to the tune of...of...I don't know the name of it, but one line of the song goes like this, "This is the way we brush our hair, brush our hair, brush our hair. This is the way we brush oru hair so early in the morning..." Or something like that.

Oh my goddess: Just remember to sing it in a Zombie voice. I was picturing our arms stretched out like zombies as people staggered under us!

Indigo: It made a lot of sense in my dream last night.... AAARGH! Why did I write that?

Old Silly: Section 3, Paragraph 5 of the rule book distinctly said there was no limit on entries. Besides, you fell down... now Quirky will eat your brainz before you get a chance to sue!

Nanodance: Zombies staggering with stretched out arms are now making their way to your house for game night! Remember to invite Shawn.

Quirky: I was going to photoshop some red into your eyes, but I don't have photoshop and I figured you already kinda looked zombed out.

Eternally Distracted: Yeah, I kinda freaked myself out! Now I'm dreaming about running away from Quirky.

Mike: Be careful or Quirky will unt you down and bury you under the bridge. Then you will become one of the unted.

NGIP: Hey, it does kinda work with that other song. I think it works best though with the entire game concept thrown in.

The last poem is your finest work! Loved it.

Your zombie song makes me all sentimental for my boy. We enjoyed watching zombie movies together. Now he's at school and I have to watch zombie movies by myself. Hubby or the dogs would oblige, but it's just not the same.
